     When I (enter) the University of British Columbia, I (be) very young and somewhat immature. It (be) the first time that I (have) so much responsibility and so much freedom. Fortunately, I (meet) a senior who (give) me some really good advice about how to study hard and take some time to have fun. In my second year, I (change) my study habits completely. In addition, I (meet) a really nice woman who (help) me develop and focus on goals for the future. I still (take) time to meet friends and go out with my girlfriend; however, I (be) a much better student, and my parents (be) much happier.
